Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms of Use apply to the JobSilo app on this iPhone. They are a standard notice so the app ships with terms in place. They are not legal advice. They do not replace contracts you sign with customers, Stripe, Apple, your insurer, or your own counsel. By using JobSilo you accept this notice.
1. The app
JobSilo is field software for quoting, jobs, invoices, mileage, inventory, and company records. You use it for your own business. You are responsible for quotes, invoices, tax, licenses, insurance, safety, and work you perform. Coaches on this iPhone are local suggestions only. They are not professional, legal, tax, or accounting advice.
2. JobSilo is not a payment provider
JobSilo only facilitates a path to pay. It is not, and does not act as, a payment provider, payment processor, payment facilitator (PayFac), money services business, money transmitter, bank, escrow, card network, ISO, or merchant of record. It does not take cards, does not run ACH or wire transfers, does not hold, receive, or transmit customer funds, does not underwrite credit, and does not guarantee that a customer paid or that funds will clear.
You are the merchant. If you paste a Stripe Payment Link, customers pay your company on Stripe under your Stripe merchant agreement. Stripe’s terms, fees, refunds, chargebacks, PCI obligations, and settlement apply between you, the customer, and Stripe. JobSilo is not a party to that agreement. Apple Pay or a card on that page is processed by Stripe, and by Apple for Apple Pay, not by JobSilo. Do not put Stripe secret keys in the app. JobSilo never stores card numbers, CVV codes, or bank logins.
The Payment Link you paste is your company’s generic Stripe link. JobSilo does not create a unique Checkout Session per invoice, does not run a payment webhook host, and does not auto mark invoices paid from Stripe. Amounts the customer enters on Stripe may not match the invoice. You are responsible for the link you paste and for reconciling what actually landed.
If a customer chooses “I’ll pay by bank,” JobSilo only notifies your desk to watch. That notice is not payment, not a funds verification, and does not mark the invoice paid. Bank transfers, checks, and cash are between you and the customer. Recording a payment in JobSilo is your confirmation on this device that money arrived, not proof from a bank or processor.
Disputes, chargebacks, refunds, failed or delayed transfers, wrong amounts, unpaid invoices, tax on those payments, and any PCI or money transmitter duties are yours, and Stripe’s if they used Stripe. JobSilo has no liability for money that does not arrive, arrives late, is reversed, or is recorded in error.
3. Your records live on this iPhone
Company books in JobSilo are stored on this device. They are not a JobSilo hosted ledger in the cloud. iCloud device backup, if you use it, is Apple’s service and may not include everything JobSilo stores. CloudKit for App Clip links is not a backup of your company.
4. Backup. You must export.
You are responsible for keeping a copy of your company data outside this phone. We recommend using Backup This Company on App Settings, About, at least once a month, and after any large quoting or invoicing day. Store that file somewhere you control, such as a computer, a drive, or your own cloud. JobSilo does not run an off phone backup service.
5. Crashes, lost phones, and data loss. No liability.
Apps crash. Phones fail, are stolen, restored, updated, or erased. iOS may reclaim storage. A failed update or a factory reset can remove local data. If JobSilo crashes, if this iPhone is lost or damaged, or if records disappear, JobSilo and its makers are not liable for lost quotes, jobs, invoices, payments, mileage, photos, or any other data, or for the cost of reconstructing that work. Your remedy is the backup you kept. If you did not export, you accept that loss.
6. Roles and access
Access depends on the role on this iPhone (owner, manager, finance, technician). Crew does not configure company payment links. You are responsible for who you allow to use this copy of the company.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use JobSilo to break the law, to spam, or to collect money you are not entitled to. Customer facing quote Terms and Conditions you print on paper are yours, not this notice.
8. Apple
If you downloaded JobSilo from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not a party to payment you take through Stripe. JobSilo is not Apple Pay, Apple Payments, or a Tap to Pay processor. Any Apple Pay the customer uses is on Stripe’s page, under Stripe and Apple’s terms.
9. No warranty
JobSilo is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error free operation. We do not warrant that payments will complete, that data will survive a crash or device loss, or that the app will match your accounting or tax rules.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobSilo and its makers are not liable for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, missed or failed payments, chargebacks, refunds, unpaid invoices, tax errors, or indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes damages from a crash, a wiped or stolen phone, a failed backup, Stripe, bank transfer, a wrong or generic payment link, a watch notice that is not a payment, a payment you recorded in error, or a customer who does not pay. JobSilo is not a payment provider and has no liability as if it were one.
Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. Where a cap is allowed, our total liability is the amount you paid for JobSilo in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.
These limits do not exclude liability that the law says cannot be excluded. That includes, for example, death or personal injury caused by our proven gross negligence, where that rule applies.
11. Changes
This notice may be updated in a later version of the app. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the notice then shown.
12. Contact
In the app, use Send Feedback on App Settings, About. On the web, email hello@jobsilo.app. Do not include customer or payment details.
