This notice describes how JobSilo handles information on this iPhone. It is not your customer quote Terms and Conditions. Apple requires a privacy policy in the app. Records that stay on this iPhone, and never leave it, are not collected by JobSilo as Apple defines that word.

What lives on this iPhone

Quotes, jobs, invoices, payment events you confirm, contacts, site photos, voice notes, mileage, inventory, company settings, and Sign in with Apple identity, if you use it, are stored locally. Maps and addresses you search may use Apple Maps on this device.

Location

Auto Mileage and Always location are used only to suggest drives for you to review. Live location is not sent to JobSilo. Turn location off in iOS Settings if you do not want those suggestions.

What JobSilo does not do

JobSilo does not sell your data. It does not run a third party advertising tracker. It does not use App Tracking Transparency advertising identifiers. It does not operate a JobSilo payment server. It does not collect, store, or see card numbers, CVV codes, bank logins, routing numbers, or Stripe secret keys. It is not a payment provider.

Payments. Facilitation only. Not a payment provider.

JobSilo is not a payment provider, payment processor, payment facilitator, money transmitter, bank, escrow, or merchant of record. If finance or a manager turns on Customer Pay, a customer may open your company’s Stripe Payment Link. Stripe, not JobSilo, is the payment provider and processes the charge for your company under your Stripe account. You are the merchant. JobSilo only opens the link you pasted and can notify your desk to watch for a payment, including when a customer says they will pay by bank. A watch notice is not a payment. Recording a payment in JobSilo is your confirmation, not a bank or Stripe settlement feed.

JobSilo does not receive settlement, does not hold or transmit funds, does not run unique checkout sessions or payment webhooks, and does not see the customer’s card or bank details. Stripe’s privacy policy and terms apply to what they process. Bank transfers the customer makes themselves are between the customer and you.

App Clip and CloudKit

A quote accept or pay link may open an App Clip. Quote papers and customer events, including accept and pay watch, may travel through Apple CloudKit using the link token so a customer phone can view the quote without installing JobSilo. Apple operates CloudKit. That is not a JobSilo marketing cloud, and it is not a backup of your company books.

Apple services

Sign in with Apple, StoreKit subscriptions, Maps, notifications, and CloudKit are Apple products. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to those services. JobSilo is not responsible for Apple’s processing.

Retention and deletion

Company records stay on this iPhone until you delete them, uninstall the app, erase this company’s data from App Settings, About, restore or replace the phone, or the device is lost, reset, or damaged. Clip tokens expire. We do not run a JobSilo account portal that can restore a dead phone.

Feedback

Send Feedback is a note typed on App Settings, About. It reaches the JobSilo team with the app version only. Do not include customer names, addresses, photos, or money details.

Your rights

You can erase this company’s data on this iPhone from App Settings, About. The owner or a manager can also use Backup This Company on that screen.
